The team of the Center for Energy Security of Ukraine participated in the Forum “Energy Efficiency: The Path to Energy Security and Recovery”, which was organized by the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.
The Forum was attended by more than 300 participants from all over Ukraine: government officials, representatives of international organizations, business and the public.
During the Forum, the team of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency presented the key steps taken in 2024 for the energy-efficient transformation of the country, as well as the achievement of one of the main instruments for financing energy efficiency projects and the implementation of renewable energy sources - the Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine.
This mechanism was successfully launched by the State Agency for Energy Efficiency in 2024 with the support of the Government of Ukraine, UNDP and international partners. It provided state financial support for energy efficiency for communities, businesses and municipalities. The Fund provides subsidized loans for the implementation of energy efficiency projects that contribute to strengthening the country's energy security and implementing the goals of the National Energy and Climate Plan.
